Capri possesses the high-end designer shopping on the Amalfi Coast, but Positano has many unique boutiques for one of a kind items found only here…
Ceramica Assunta – The king of Amalfi Coast ceramics, this iconic shop has 3 stores in Positano, the original right in front of the Assunta church. I like the one closest to the Le Sirenuse hotel which has a large selection of playful flatware. Cups, plates, bowls, with whimsical animal figures, lemons, Positano landscapes, and traditional southern Italy majolica patterns. Lastly their shop further up the road which has larger items like table tops and sets of large bowls. All the shops are wonderful and all have their own vibe. I do pick up at least a new mug every trip and their pasta bowls will keep the Amalfi Coast dream alive when you get home.
Luisa Positano – An Amalfi Coast institution, and symbol of Italian summer dressing. Her colourful regional Italian designs are pure summer fashion and a fun addition to a travel wardrobe.
Casa e Bottega – Inside this café is a shop with just gorgeous things. Beautiful locally made unique pieces, perfect for home and gifts. From ceramic cups and vases to hand painted linens. It is worth stopping in. I picked up the espresso cups with the lemons.
CB Positano – A newer shop to the Positano scene. Sweet, girly fabrics in summer frocks and cute totes are for the young Instagram crowd. Two boutiques are packed with charming items that make great gifts for teenage girls.
Always Positano – There are fun ceramics here. Great for gifting or to find the perfect Amalfi Coast souvenir. I love their anchovy themed items, little fish swimming on plates, tiles, even on their own.
Emporio Le Sirenuse – For an exclusive and curated shop, there is no better than this original Positano boutique. Their fragrances are one of a kind and hard to find outside the shop. Their Eau d’Italie is sublime and totally transports you to summer evenings on the terrace of the Sirenuse hotel across the street. Check out their clothing range of colourful swimming trunks, elegant summer dresses, and home items such as their hand embroidered pillowcase inspired by centuries old local designs.
