Served Chilled…
When it comes to my after dinner drink of choice, I admit to being more of a grappa girl. That is until I hit Capri and the Amalfi Coast and then I absolutely cannot end a meal without an iced glass filled with the chilled bright yellow elixir. The colder the better especially on hot summer nights near the sea where hopefully there will be a light breeze. Many times it is complimentary offering from the house a sort of thank you but really more a way of being friendly and making new friends with the establishment. It is after all a happy drink. And I can’t leave the Amalfi Coast without picking up a bottle, preferably one with a painted scene of Amalfi or Positano or Capri… Anything to make the carefree feel of a great holiday last all that much longer when I get home.
